We could have a European Expeditionary Force and a European Territorial Force that includes 30+ European countries. Essentially the European wing of NATO but which can operate without NATO article 5 for the defence of non nato members.

The trouble is the political leadership. This force who commands it? If some Euro pol wants to score pacificst voter points they would sabotage the force's command. France says Go! Germany says No! Then what happens?
Euro Army requires single euro command. Not existing.

Absolutely, either we want to commit to a strong Europe, fighting together through legal or military means. Or we slowly decline and become vassals to more powerful countries. Time to stand together as many peoples under one flag.
