It is true, that until recent events, most people in the UK at least, knew almost nothing about Ukraine. It was "The Ukraine" & as far as they were concerned was a part of Russia. Those with an interest in history had a better grasp, but still Russian biases remained.

Agreed! It matters that we get more news about Ukraine from quality Ukrainian sources.

Sometimes, asking Ukrainians about details while translating media showed where whole op-eds and narratives in English media were wrong. For example, about where and why speaking Ukrainian is important.
