I saw my wonderful OB/GYN today for some unpleasant medical stuff, and we ended up talking about the lack of institutional courage. We need to be sticking our necks out.

I’m so frustrated that the people with the most power in academia are the most timid. I’m non-tenure-track but won’t be cowed.
