Congrats yo your youngest! The well being of our children is the only real measure of wealth, I used to naively think, β¦ until the grandchildren started arriving!!
Buckle up! High school flies by and before you know it you will be sending your youngest off to college. And then all the realities of empty nest will flood in. I survived with my golden retriever listening every day as we sat on our screened in porch rocking and bird watching.
Look to your left. Now look to your right. Now look straight ahead and blink twice.
Your youngest is now in college. It goes that quickly.
A couple of years ago I was the father of a cute little squeaky voiced tike playing with Legos. Iβm now the father of a middle aged man.
The sigh of relief I felt leaving the middle school parking lot for the last time with my youngest was REAL...he graduates high school next week, the last 4 years have flown by!

Where tf do all that time go and why wasnβt I warned? IDK, some sort of mailing or short memo or something. π
You never get used to it, but it's a great adventure.
Best of luck to your guy in High School
Now I get why my parents always said: "Where did the time go?"
I've tried really hard to enjoy every phase of my kids' lives, as I think it's the only way to do it since we can't go back.
