We need to look at these Tesla numbers (accidents, deaths) in comparison to other cars. Is the proportion of self-driving cars in fatal accidents higher or lower compared to that of say a standard Ford Bronco? Yes to strict regulations to protect the public. But let our side be the rational one.

Tesla has reported over 1,500 accidents to federal safety regulators. There are 614 deaths related to Tesla vehicles, with 51 of these associated with Autopilot, including 2 with FSD engaged.
