My cat passed away last night. I was there with him. He was trying to throw up but couldn't get it out. I stayed with him till the end. He knew it was his time. He call for my sister while I was at work and she watched him till I got home. I was home with him for an hour, comforting him. - ThreadSky

Thank you. It's gonna be hard. I don't deal with loss well. So I will probably be breaking down once and awhile for months. It's definitely going to be a depressing February.

Then it happened. He tried to get to the litter box to vomit, but stumbled. I tried to help him but it wasn't enough. His meows we're fierce as if he was trying to outrun the grim reaper. Yelling at him to leave. When he collapsed and started hacking, I petted him and reassured to him he is loved.

Then, he stopped breathing. I balled and sang and cried for hours. Still am. My sister's as well. He went into the next world fighting. I know he will be welcome amongst great warriors. He looked the grim reaper in the face & roared at him I was there, I saw how bravely he fought back against death.

He told death "These people love me and I love them. I'm not leaving without a fight." He was brave right up untill the end. We will have him cremated. I will try and make him a nice urn. I want to thank all of you for reading. I hope you all pay special attention to your pets today. For Freddy 🐱

Thank you. He was a street cat. We had him for 10 years, we didn't know how old he was when we adopted him but they told us he was 3 or 4. I'm thinking it may have been 5. With how much of a scrappy little guy he was he had to have been on the streets for at least 5 years.
