I fall in the camp where the Northman is my least favorite, the bad accents and slow pacing did not help, still worth a watch when you have a chance.

I have it, I’ve seen about half of it, but I’ve had interruptions come up. Extremely cool, love doing the Hamlet story that predates Hamlet… just need to get through it.

100% agree. I think the Northman is his most ambitious film and it’s an absolute favorite of mine.

I don’t think it’s for everyone though.

It's got some real remarkable performances and scenes but maybe isn't the most cohesive overall. But he's one of those directors that just doesn't have duds

I would love to see his director’s cut version - cause I know for a fact it went crazier. But I 100% adore the film and will always defend it.

I do find Kidman's face a bit hard to look at since she's got all that work done but she's still a great actor. I also think about that long tracking shot where he scales the wall and enters the battle, like once a week
