Protest are really, really, really, really, really, really important.
Protests matter.

Every interview I’ve done with international media has included the question: “Why are there no mass protests?” - with the assumption being that Americans are either all on board or just too lazy. Really important to push back hard against such notions. The failure is on the institutional level.

Did nothing. Giant protests in old
Soviet block nations?
Nada. Authoritarians and oligarchs just take another road to get where they are going
Where was the ALL-DAY coverage of the country-wide protests?
Where were the ON-THE-GROUND interviews with protesters?
Why do the MAGA nuts get much more exposure with corporate media?

Participants were smiling, happy for the sense of community.
People who passed by feel more emboldened to resist in some small way than before.
Tesla owners feel more embarrassed.
Hardcore MAGA feel more like the minority they.
It matters!
Not a single thing has been broken
No feces have been smeared on walls
Not a single police officer has been beaten
Not a single police officer has been killed
In fact, no one has been harmed..... at all.
Well done Hands Off.
Fucking Bezos.
RESIST! For as long as it takes.

We shall overcome.
Fortunately, Congress can stop him, and they care about public opinion because they have to run again.
Make Congress the target audience for your protest.
Maybe we should treat this past weekend as just a test run.
Who do they call when the 💩 hits the fan. The USA!!
We made mistakes and we’re in the midst of fixing it.
Look around, do we look like we’re sitting on our hands.
Nero fiddled while Rome burned, what happened to him?
He golfs while America burns 🥵
this sign” point to Trump’s chaos and destruction of Democracy from multiple angles. Perhaps that’s why things have been a little diffuse up til now. Organizing around a breadth of issues is a good idea.
I doubt if we had even 1% yesterday.
Over a thousand protests everywhere,
But read the press you’d be unaware.
There’s few stories in your news dump.
Corporate Media is afraid of Trump.
Cover ALL protests!!

If the #HandsOff protests were for:
1. There was a vaccine 4 measles available 5 months ago.
2. Parents chose not 2 vaccinate their children.
3. Children died.
4. Parents R now protesting measles.
Wouldn't you ask "Why didn't you vaccinate your children?"
Why didn't you elect Harris?
And affordable public transportation, particularly trains.
A train all the way from Marseille to Paris takes about 3.5 to 4.5 hours and costs less than $100.
Birmingham to London is 2 hours and costs about $70.
