If you are so inclined to join a skilled trade union...that's your choice and may be essential. Starbucks and kitchen workers are not on a level of skilled workers ie welders, machinist,iron workers etc. Unionized low skill workers are a drag on everyone else in our economy.

First off I have a circle of friends of every economic level. If someone makes a decision of lower level of education/skills it's fine by me. But, the expectation of being lifted up at others expense seems unfair. The economic "drag" translates into artificial higher prices for all.

This is the future. The trade union movement needs to embrace the future whatever that is. I am a second generation Building Trades member and I have seen to much insularity but we need move forward in a positive fashion. Let’s join together and go after Amazon and Musk companies.
