Yeah this is solid advice for anything. Show people what you want to be hired for. You need to have that stuff in your portfolio, otherwise you'll be hired for things you don't want to do. If you want to be a comic artist show finished comic pages not static pinups. Show you can create that stuff.

The one thing I do know is if you want to work in comics, you need to have some comics to show someone who might hire you. How to get them interested is a whole other story that I just don't know. (4/5)
