Holy shit yes. I need to figure out how to mention this in my book. How? Does it matter? Are there bad ways to bring this up?

The United States is the Philadelphia of countries. Loud, dirty, corrupt leaders, actively degrading infrastructure, decidedly worse public services, yet constantly yelling about being the best.
