I'm a tad disappointed in DQ3 HD-2D (I rated it 4/5). I wanted them to make as many changes as you made. They won't. Still good, but why not swing for the fences here 30 years later!

Yeah it's very much DQ3 from the 80's with a facelift. Not bad but like you said I wish there were a bit more effort to update other aspects of it. It's like we know DQ3, elevate it a bit! I guess Horii didn't favor that approach. 🤷‍♂️

I'll 100% be there for the HD-2D remake regardless, but Plus sets the bar VERY high.
