I spent a long time settling on a design and collecting kimono references in the early phases of this piece!
It's definitely an artisan garb made for her that she would bring out for special occasions 🌙🎆

Ayame's name means Iris, and while the flower is typically associated with purple, there are actually pink Irises!
I referenced a lot of real flowers and beautiful antique coasters for these ♡
