Brereton says it’s coz they don’t understand it “takes time” to see “results”
But NACC was formed over 12mths ago & have 12mth deadline on cases, so where r the results?🙄

You're waiting for results? I believe now the Albanese government was never going to deliver a NACC with teeth. You'll lose next year and we'll have Dutton. Something that I believe was planned by Labor too.

I don’t think there was ever any joy when the National Anti-Corruption Commission was set up. The way it was legislated looked like it was going to be a disappointment from the beginning. We hoped we were wrong.
The NACC just turned out to be far worse than expected. Brereton needs to go.

Why did the NACC go wrong? Were there too many concessions to Dutton? Was Dreyfus the wrong person to legislate it? Was there outside pressure or fear of being found corrupt themselves?

Labor installed the NACC their party room would allow. The Coalition was just a useful Patsy to deflect criticism away from the government. Labor didn't need the Coalition to get a stronger transparent body up, they easily had the numbers in both houses.
