As a non-Francophone I don't know the finer breakdown among the 23% "Non", but I think the 77% "No" breaks down to 5% "No", 10% "Oh hell no", and 62% "Fuck no we're not joining that fucking Nazi shithole".

If my memory serves me right we are 14 million french canadian in North America, 11 in Canada (7.5 Québec) and 3 millions in the US. (Small historic village on the east coast going down to Louisiana (Acadians are part of the French Canadian culture)).

So 1/3 of Canadians

So if anyone is interested the shape of the Francophony in America is shaped like 7. The northern part of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario is very much French (even if less the 10% of the population of each provinces as population is concentrated in the south)

Québec is all French except for the west side of Montreal. Nova Scotia is the only true billangual province as the francophone in the rest of the maritime have been deported to Louisiana.

The French in the maritimes are mostly Acadian and some Acadian reside in Québec aswell.

Acadians in Canada and Louisiana even if they haven't been in contact for more than a century still have the same accent and uses the same slang.

I have been fouled many time thinking a singer was from here when he was in fact from Louisiana.
