As a matter of fact, both Costco and Target are in the Vanguard holdings. They don't care and won't even feel the slightest sting
I mean, yes, Vanguard is a company that offers index funds; owning all the companies is the thing they are supposed to do in order to offer a total stock market index fund.
That doesn't mean they control, say, Target's DEI practices or whether they lose a crap-ton of money for abandoning them. 🤷♀️
I was a bit surprised by Aldi and Lowe's. None of the others shocked me, though. I can't even boycott because I already don't shop most of these places/brands.
Oh geez! Blue Buffalo has had food recalls?! We used it for quite a while but the prices got so high at our local Farm & Home that I started making dog food.
Yeah. It seemed every time we bought it they had some sort of recall. Salmonella, excessive thyroid hormones, excessive vitamin D, etc. That and they had a class action lawsuit because they falsely advertised no byproducts when they use them in their dog food.
Wait, Aldi’s? I didn’t see that in the article. Also, it mentioned John Deere as rolling back DEI, but there was a story that the shareholders voted not to eliminate DEI initiatives.
This is so atrocious because they don't even understand what DEI means. This is a thinly veiled attack on every single minority, including women. Why? cuz whit'l tiny men wit lil tiny pea-peas fewl left owt we want in on da game but we don't want to play by the rules cuz day unfawer. I'm tewin Mom!
Is there an app that actually works to scan items for companies that cater to dumpster and musty? I’ve tried a couple and none really work. Also I’m looking at alternatives for stores as I’m stuck in north Idaho for now and Safeway/walmart are the only options less than an hour drive away from me.
