It's not that I disagree, but I also want to suggest it's early days. :D No doubt the "Google" of GAI Search will be along at some point.

(Also, LLMs were never designed to be factual. It's demand (and user expectation) that is forcing them to scramble that way now, and it's still pretty messy.)

My wife and I searched the exact same query on two different mobile devices at the same time and got completely contradicting results. It’s so unreliable.

Everyone gets mad at me when I tell them that it's not a search engine but it's not a search engine you might as well just use the search engine that they're using to pull the citations from.

I would have never guessed it was that high though I thought it'd be more like 30% - 40%.
