Hard to say for sure until the investigation concludes…but with wind and snow being factors I would wildly guess that it rolled

On the surface looks like what I suspected - wind on touchdown causes the wing to impact the runway, which turns into a roll in the fuselage as it turns perpendicular to the direction of travel and the wings detach

We live in Rochester - less than 3 hours from Toronto. There are high wind advisories throughout the Great Lakes region. There were 18 wheelers flipped on our highways as a result so- I’m guessing that played some sort of role.

There was an animation that showed- basically if you hit the wing while moving it pops off (on purpose) and then keeps on rolling.
