At work we did the Secret Santa thing where we were given the possible book interests of our gift recipients, and we gave each other books as gifts. I got Weapons of Math Destruction and my recipient got Pathogenesis: The History of the World in Eight Plagues. Truly magical!
I started giving books to my kids for Christmas at a very young age and the tradition continues and they would be upset if it didn't. This year I found q lot of cool used book sites and bought second hand!
