More white space is just a waste of space.

Which I read as using rem/em.
If your H1 uses rem, as it should, what happens when the user changes the font size?
Obviously the text gets bigger, we want that.
But I don't think the margin should grow too
As in: increasing the whitespace.
Obviously whitespace is there to allow text and other content to breathe.
And there's some logic in saying a bigger headline needs more space.
But! You are also just using vertical real estate for "nothing".
