#RobertJohn, the singer who hit No. 1 in 1979 with “Sad Eyes,” has died. He was 79.

Confirmed to Rolling Stone by John’s son, Michael Pedrick, who said his dad died on Monday. He was still recovering from a stroke he had several years ago.
