TRoS was awful as it tried to undo every good TLJ did.
But man, the sequels have TLJ and that's a heeeeck of a good and fun Star Wars movie. Honestly, it's my favourite
I think @brennanleemulligan.bsky.social should have gotten a point on the Doctor WHO question. Multiple Doctors have existed at the same time several times before: The Three Doctors, The Two Doctors, etc.
Absolutely YES TO THIS! ALL of the sequels are great movies (YES ALL THREE) and I will never hear or accept otherwise. I grew up on the prequels, but the sequel trilogy resonated with me in new special ways as my first time with live action Star Wars with an excited audience. And with Rey Skywalker.
Um actually, the sequels aren't bad star wars movies, but they were terrible sequels to the original trilogy. Getting Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to reprise their roles without unifying the characters on screen one last time was criminal.
Itβs not something George ever would have done just to satisfy fans, so Iβm happy it didnβt happen. Heck, the three were only together for like fifteen minutes total in the OT. (Escaping the Death Star, the medal ceremony, in the med bay on Hoth, and in the briefing room and shuttle in RotJ.)
Um, actually in Doctor Who they have had multiple doctors existing at once before. In The Day of the Doctor there are three Doctors existing simultaneously: Tennant, Smith, and William Hurt playing The War Doctor.

TROS barely qualifies as a movie. It was just some dumbass paying some celebrities to cosplay in the desert for a few months.
The new trilogy is not as good. Most of the hate they get is unwarranted and often bigoted.
It just feels like a Disney movie because it is and they weren't as interesting to watch.
@hectorisfunny.bsky.social is correct.
And I'm afraid Joan may also be, but I'm hoping that the ST kids will break the cycle and enjoy the next trilogy...
And for good measure: Rey Skywalker.
