Our elem schools are down bad. Less so in HS. I keep sending kids to the nurse to go home when they try to come back after one sick day. I teach juniors. They're showing up in literal tears, pale and green, lightheaded, bloody noses... GO HOME AND STAY THERE

No, but my school is majority white. Monday 2 of my 4 ML students were gone. I think one was sick. The other alluded to the reason but didn’t say. (They are 10, so I don’t know what she knows.)

For sure. Between COVID, the flu, random out of state vacations to warm climates, and fear of being in public for certain communities - the halls are much less crowded.

For us it mostly fear of 🧊 with a little bit of seasonal sickness plus the regular absenteeism. For added context I’m in south Florida

Yep. However we've also gotten hit VERY HARD (students and staff including myself) the past 2 weeks by tons of illness waves in the cold Midwest - so that plus the other stuff is noticably awful

We had 3 snow days and a 2 hour late start (on a 75 min release day)…I’ll let you know next week 😵‍💫🙃🫠
