One thing I think ppl are trying to avoid is the "my character looks so much different on page 100 than they did on page 1" but I think that's inevitable no matter how much you prepare - 100 pages into your comic you'll develop a visual shorthand that you simply won't have on page 1! You just need to draw it and have something ugly and potentially 'not ready'

I also encourage people to jump into the pool. It's NORMAL for art styles to evolve. Look at well known comics like Dilbert, Garfield, Penny Arcade, Bloom County, etc. The art evolved over the course of the comic. You don't even have to start with the first pages! You can start by a scene in the middle with little action and use that as practice

You can choose to let the early pages be or you can go back and edit them, and either option is perfectly valid. It's webcomics, baby, do whatever makes you happy 😎💗

There was a manga I used to read that had a significant time skip in it. Pre-timeskip the artstyle was very detailed while still being dynamic.
Post time skip the artist had streamlined his art and it lost some of the details I loved, but enhanced the dynamic energy. Its growth either way!

When I'm writing for TTRPGs, this happens so much. I used to just leave it, but now I usually go back and put the better descriptor in place of the lesser. However, I usually forget to do this.

Honestly that's one of my personal favorite things about webcomics, you get the chance to grow along with the characters and the artist. It's a special experience that's not easy to capture in other mediums.
