Honest question: Why don't people organizing protests in the US ever bring some soundtrucks to their gatherings?

I can't help but imagine it's because of some law restriction? Because otherwise... they're huge trucks packed up with huge sound box and amplifiers, that'd draw attention

Those are common in protests around Brazil, and also on street festivals such as carnaval; here it's called 'trio elétrico'

they also vary in size and sound power - from a suburban car to a SUV to a pickup truck

My initial question didn't mean bad, it's just that really, I've never seen any protest in the US (from what we see on social media, vids etc) with one of those sound boosters and - and I've always wondered why, after all that's such a gain in spreading message and gathering

Sound ordinances, they cost a lot to rent, and not everybody has access to one. And honestly, loud doesn't necessarily mean people are going to come towards the sound it's very likely they will get pissed off that it's loud and walk away.

Sure is... here, thousands of people gather on the streets with those sound cars, trucks, making it impossible for the media to ignore the protest and demands. On the other hand, we don't sit in the couch and call congresspeople imagining it would change things.

Brazil is also a much smaller country. Getting 100000s of ppl in one spot like this isn't as complicated as it is to make a press worthy event. We have had marches and such in the past. They get maybe 24 hours in the news cycle tops.

Don't get me wrong, but it's just that it's so surreal to me. The country's literally melting down, eggs cost more than gas, a billionaire is hijacking the economy - on top of that, they're dragging the word to The Abyss - but the problem's that sound's loud and people may get angry and call cops.
