One thing I love about the studio display is that on video calls, voices come through the monitor at the same volume the person was speaking.

In terms of display quality, both are great. But the Studio Display also gets software updates (might be that's why it has A13 inside). LG monitors are excellent but unsupported and out of sale (at least in Germany). Plus, the Studio Display feels more premium in materials. Definitely an upgrade.

2. Going from regular glass to nano texture was a shock for me. I tried to get used to it, then returned it and got the regular, giant relief. It’s a bit like film grain, but softer. Reduces the sharpness of reflections by turning them into larger blurrier areas of reflection. No advantage for me.

1. That being said, I recently replaced mine with a 240hz screen and it's been a revelation. These monitors are geared towards gaming, but I fell in love with it for regular computer usage. Cursor is more precise, faster, smoother. It ruined 60hz monitors for me a bit, so approach with care.

I have a non-matte and it’s great if you only want to connect it to a Mac.

Yes totally worth it. It’s a set and forget type of setup. No need to turn it on or off.
I got glossy because I don’t have direct sunlight coming in. Everything looks sharp.

Agree with the others. The Studio Display has been such a joy to use. It’s an effortlessly incredible monitor. I went glossy as well; I’m in a basement office without a lot of bright reflections, and the gloss meant super high screen clarity. Clarity is slightly degraded with nano.
