It's a pretty good point of duality and draws the line of the appeal of the anti-hero in wrestling. People will do detestable things and still get favored by the crowd through time. In a way, they both contrast; The perfect mirror between grief via healing and self-destruction.

Love that at this point every opponent knows he has a "secret" desire to be loved by the crowd, they needle him for it and he sells it every time. He isn't willing to take the high road for it because he doesn't trust that it won't all go to shit and result in heartbreak
