I’d encourage we take them over from within Bernie Sanders style. But also at much lower levels. The US political system is unkind to third parties. I used to be Green Party but watched them spin their wheels long enough that I went back to the Dems to work from within
Good article and basically agree with everything except removal of the filibuster. What would Republicans do without a filibuster in place should be addressed if one believes it should be removed is the question no one wants to answer.
The filibuster is certainly tricky. Particularly in timing of the change. But when the Dems do have the Trifecta next time it needs to go in order to make the needed changes. How to get from here to there is a good question.
The response on what Dems need to do with removing the filibuster is only one part of the equation. The other part asks what Republicans will do without a filibuster when they have a trifecta. This is the million dollar question no one wants to answer.
We definitely need to have more active sub parties working inside the Dems. I’ve always liked working families but I haven’t checked in on them in a long while. I will do so. Thanks for the reminder!

I’m no longer willing to settle for Dems if they’re just going to give us more of the same.
