I set a place in mind and make sure even when it doesn’t matter I hold myself to its place. Like for my earbuds it’s ether a specific pocket on my work bag, my main pocket in my work side pouch, or my left front pants pocket. For my ear buds it’s ether my left hand, my earbud case, or my ears.
