My only issue is, i dont understand how remaining a member is helpful when theres such a disparity between leadership, who control things, and members who, apparently cant do a single thing?

If I were a member just now I'd really want to be given a chance to try and influence leadership through such motions and other activism. If it was clearly having no impact after a while I'd bail out.

Just seems, from an outside perspective, regardless which party youre a member of, you can do little to nothing to affect change if leadership doesnt want it.

So seems being a member is almost redundant. Corbyn is prime example - members wanted him, leadership did not.

I do agree with this but the u-turn is very recent and this is the first chance the membership has had a chance to address it. Only a handful of them will actually care enough to resign if it continues.
