How did such an anti-human rights clause make it into the Charter.
It's terrifying to know all individual rights could be ended for 5 years. Anti-trans bills are setting the stage to end rights of the LGBTQ2S persons and women.
It was the "compromise" to get the Charter (and the repatriation of the Constitution) passed because most of the provinces wanted to protect to notion of Parliamentary supremacy - the so-called "Kitchen Accord".
