I often think a problem facing Tesla is that there's only one model, making them easier to spot than (say) Nissans. If you're the type who finds them or their drivers obnoxious, you WILL notice them every time one drives anywhere near you. And you won't like it!

BYD is catching up fast in Australia but they may not overtake Tesla’s despite the latter’s falling sales because they aren’t the only competitor with MG etc growing fast.

Australia is a tiny market but it’s quite indicative I feel because there is no local car industry, it’s equal footing for all.
