In general, don’t question nice lawns, although I suppose ones that require fungicide should be axed. There is a whole world happening outside your front door for you to get wrapped up and take pride in. Just press pause on the screen and see for yourself!
Nobody seems to really know other than it became a local status symbol to have a golfy lawn. These are relatively small yards yet they spend a lot to maintain them.
Shaker Heights is a crazy place. It's one of the oldest neighborhoods in Cleveland. Almost all of the town is on the National Register of Historic Places and they've worked real hard to keep it that way. It's the oldest of old money in Cleveland.
