I am now one of the biggest fans of Sonic the Hedgehog 💙
Eventually we got our own copy. My siblings loved the Chao, but I loved all of it.
For the rest of the 90s, I religiously read the Archie comic. I wouldn't get back to the game side until SA2:B on GameCube
I rented a Genesis to get into Sonic 2 and played through Sonic 1 on the Game Gear, but never truly got what the hype was about
But I consider Sonic Adventure 2 my favorite of the franchise

This, unleashed ps2, and ESPECIALLY Sonic X got me locked into this series forever I fear
It only traumatized me because I was 6
It was not enough to sway me from my beloved Super NES. But still a better pack-in than Altered Beast.
i played 2 and decided I wanted a Genesis.
I think at the end of the year i got one.
that was the first and only time i owned both rival consoles. That's why my memories are of the 16-bit days.
