The metal strut at the base of the post also needs to go as the ball can hit it and bounce out. Seen more than one clip of goals not being given. Ugh. They just look so cheap. And yes, this is a hill I'm dying on.

I'm sure I saw one bounce out of a something that was built into a side bar on one of them, about two feet over the line. To a point, with all that crap attached to them, I'm surprised they're allowed to use them. The whole point of box goals is to not have anything a ball can bounce off.

Mind you, then they stretch the netting as tight as they can anyway nowadays, which seems like a singularly pointless thing to do.
