I called this at the beginning, best investment China can make,half the cost is in setting up shop, so China gets hero status at bargain prices. Americans will not see a decline in global influence like this ever again because they won’t be able to climb up the ladder that they themselves burnt.

In the larger picture, this is not good either. All foreign aid is a form of propaganda. As the grandchild of people who fled Chinese authoritarianism, I see the PRC is taking advantage of this power vacuum & these peoples’ desperation to gently introduce their brand of governance.
