The Grampians fire last night spread between 13,000ha to 28,000 overnight in mild southerlies. This is far beyond what any current fire models will predict.

Terrifying that this is the start of summer.

The state of Victoria is ablaze with fires raging through the Grampians/gariwerd, wombat state forest near Macedon, my home of Creswick and the Gurdies in the south east.
