I really think it’s important that people read the text of this bill. Calling it an IHRA bill and implying that it’s codifying it is false. Look at the language of the bill for yourself - seriously.
That is a red line for me and I would NEVER vote for codifying IHRA.

It’s a trap vote designed to split the left. Vote against & you’re refusing to condemn the (real) rise in antisemitism, vote for it & it’s a squabble over 3rd degree acknowledgment IHRA exists
Also, do you believe other Dems share your "redline" in regards to the IHRI derinition?
I never used to witness overt anti-Semitism and now I see it constantly online. It’s part of the overall rise in fascism, and as leftists it’s super important we condemn that.
Online, I see just as much as I always have (with the exception of twitter, but that increase started as soon as dipshit bought it).
IRL, it's the same people posting conspiracy fliers, etc.
What am I missing?
There was no good reason to vote for this resolution because it promotes antisemitism such as criticizing Israel.
I'm sure all three of them understand the stakes of a resolution are minor.
Conservatives push these bills bc they are designed to get the left infighting while they move things like 9495. The timing isn’t a coincidence IMO
*Building leftists unity around the enemy of the system rigged for the right could make the coalition stronger.*

Just as our trans, Muslim, Black, immigrant, & other communities need that from me too.
There will never be a perfect vehicle so we choose which imperfect one

You may want to reconsider your Hamas allyship if you don't like raping and torturing innocents.
