That’s a good question. Usually its if I feel like it, but every so often I will spark my writing by giving myself a sprint. Anything that helps to get words written!

I guess I dont know what it means to “sprint” when writing.

When drafting, I tend to plow through without editing, but it’s not a consistent pace, or even a fast one unless Ive sat down with some solid ideas already.

It's when you put a timer on and just try to get as many words as possibly down on the page! Usually for 10-15 minutes for me

Gotcha. During our writing group we set a 45min timer and try to compose a short story, which often involves getting as much down as we can.
Thats the closest I can think of to sprinting, for me.
