Until and unless the American people start voting for integrity, there will be no end to Trump-like depravity, Pelosi-like corruption, Schumer-like ineptitude.

The mistake was in trying to play voters—in assuming they'd never vote for the person best placed to improve their lives.

💯There is a massive difference between "bashing Democrats" and calling out systemic corruption (empowered by redistricting, Citizens United and a fractured media landscape).

Bernie (or AOC) would have to act unilaterally, like Trump. Or get a 60/40 Dem majority in the Senate (last happened in 2009) and a majority in the House. Having great ideas is one thing. They, then, have to be enacted by Congress.

AOC only works if inept/corrupt Establishment Democrats are primaried & the GOP collapses. But things are bad enough that it could happen. Honestly, it must. The clock is running out on climate change.

It seems like the Democratic Party may not survive in its current iteration. I honestly have no idea what replaces it. And I have no idea what happens to the GOP. I don't see anyone who could take it in a less radical direction. More radical? Yes. The US is in for a rough period.

AOC spearheaded the Green New Deal, which would have spared humanity a lot of the untold chaos that will follow the presently unfolding ecological collapse. Bernie has put forth hundreds of bills.

Being blackballed by cynical centrists is not the same as not submitting legislation.

She was asked to put it in legislative language & she never did.Bernie has never written a bill to put any of his rhetoric into practice.He stole a congressman’s M4A bill & actually made it worse.He introduced bills to name post offices. After 50 years in a legislative seat.

Aggregate primary vote count is misleading: it undercounts caucus states, which Bernie mostly won.
(In 1972 McGovern won the Dem nomination comfortably despite getting fewer aggregate votes than Humphrey and scarcely more than Wallace.)

Primary voting more accurately reflects and predicts voting turnout in November. Caucus formats reward intensity, not numbers. Many caucus formats require hours of participation or open declaration of how you voted, which discourages many voter groups & does not reflect November participation.

Bernie is only a Democrat when he wants the Democrat base. There is a significant portion of Democrats that are significantly towards the center of Bernie. Even AOC has moderated over the years as she has sought a more leadership role.

He used the democratic party to try to win the presidency. I almost think Bernie fans mostly exist online. I met a couple of them in real life but they were not this way. They still voted for HRC and spoke against Trump. We are stuck with a 2 party system. Now is not the time to try to fix that.

Hillary had been a part of the Democrat party for 40 years or so at that point. She had campaigned as a Democrat for every position she held. She contributed to the democratic party. She endorsed candidates and fundraised for them. Long before she ran for president.
