I actually agree with some of what KD is saying, but he's conveniently leaving out why fans complain about the actual game(s) - Effort. Guys just aren't trying as hard every night, and yes it's a long season but fans are paying more and more $ to go to games or League Pass to watch guys phone it in

I feel like fans are very selective about the effort part, just as much as players are. There has NEVER been an era of hoop where players went hard every night. I actually think early season hoop has been great due to NBA Cup last two autumns.

I agree that the cup has brought energy and effort in that early part of the season, but it definitely drops off after that. Obv there are guys who compete hard every night, but there are a lot who def don't. Things usually pick up after all star, but then you also have tanking.

It sucks they think "all fans" think that way. Before social media they'd just hear assholes shouting at them at the game, and could shrug that off as "just assholes at the game". Now, to them, it seems "everyone" is an asshole, when in reality its just all the assholes have a direct line to them.

The loud ones are the ones getting responded to. That’s what is unfortunate. The default is satisfaction so we don’t react to that section

Maybe it’s his team’s play style or something. I love watching our Clippers, the way they move & share the ball, watch Harden create advantages, etc. Never been a big Allstar game guy, and that’s OK.

They complain and bring out examples to fit their arguments.
