Sometimes I struggle with even a straight line (maybe because I draw yuri lmao)

Point is, everyone regardless of skill level faces issues and problems, bits and pieces don't always fall in the correct place. Most of the time you're only seeing the good stuff, and not the frankly numerous messy-

sketches that never went anywhere, struggles with a concept or idea, or just plain ol' art block. Once again I want to affirm that you shouldn't be afraid to pick up a pencil, you'll fail, learn, grow, and draw better eventually; this cycle is constant to all artists, and shouldn't discourage you!

I'm not exaggerating btw, for every piece I post, there are 4-6 scrapped pieces and ideas. Some pieces, even ones close to being done, I scrap and restart sometimes because it just doesn't have the oomph I want. So it's okay to make mistakes, learning from them is how you improve

Even though I am not an artist, I did draw a lot in middle and high school (I might post some of them here later).

However, I stopped after entering college due to lack of inspiration and not having time anymore

My question is how on earth do you manage to get pieces out so quickly while still being able to scrap em if they're not working? I'm struggling to get one piece out per month, and I'm tryna figure out how to make it feel like less of a hassle.
