Nah it’s awesome! Sometimes details can get lost in the zoomed out piece, especially with the annoying compression platforms use, so it’s nice to be able to appreciate the textures you use

stuff on my twitter are generally less-compressed (mostly due to twitter's compression being less aggressive)

I love seeing them! I'm a writer, and sometimes there will be a single sentence of piece of dialogue in a work that I really love. When you share the highlights in your work it's getting to see a fellow creative point out similar things, and I love when that comes up on my feed.

The detail posts are great but I would prefer them as replies to the original post to look at them when I look at the full image. I also use BlueNotify to get notifications of your posts so it can get a bit much (I can't disable notifications for quote posts separately there)

that's fair, i usually like to quote post as it gets seen by more people vs if it was in the comments, especially if there are multiple ones by me some get buried

It's definitely fine.

Bluesky handles self-reposts a lot better than Twitter does by hiding the original post in the feed, so they don't mess with the standard feed much.

It helps appreciate all the nice details that have most definitely been nuked by Bluesky's compression on the original pics, so it's fine by me.

It also helps appreciate how well you render skin in your art! I'm always in awe over how pretty and heartwarming you make skin look!

Those close ups are like walking up to a marble statue and seeing the sculptor make stone look like flesh. Especially true with bluesky's shitty compression.
