Vaugh has 1100 more PA with a similar profile (R/R 1B), though DB is much taller. AV is a career 101 OPS+ and BD is a 91. BD has .10 higher SLG. AV has .20 higher OBP. This is really just AV assurance? Or they see something in him to fix?
