I know fully competent people in their 40s, 50s, and early 60s who have hand tremors. Although I'm strongly in favor of a mandatory retirement age for ALL public servants and judges, hand tremors are not necessarily indicitive of incompetence. Look up "essential tremor." - ThreadSky

Absolutely. I replied to the original comment supplying anecdotal information about essential tremor and how it is unrelated to a sufferer's cognitive strength or weakness. My agreement with "I'm strongly in favor of a mandatory retirement age for all public servants and judges" was tacitly implied.

Almost like the hand shaking itself isnt the problem, but is a sign and symptom of the problem. We arent talking about people in their 40s and 50s, we are talking about a frail, senile 78 year old when we are in a fascist crisis

But it's not necessarily a symptom of a problem. Again, I'm strongly in favor of a mandatory retirement age and term limits, but essential tremor is only a sign of... essential tremor.
