i really enjoy how a significant number of people responded with something like "it doesn't matter that you are less funny than a funeral. that i was never even remotely close to ever cracking a smile. you're human and you matter ❤️"

idk if you can tell but im a pretty serious and boring person. the type of person who wishes they were funny and decides the best way to do that is buying a bunch of books with titles like "how to be funny" and studying diligently from them

Personally I spend a lot of “thinking about scenarios that won’t happen” time on what would be funny in said unlikely scenario so that when it happens I’ll still be just as unfunny but will have to awkwardly explain the joke I just made
Now he's the airheaded, unintentionally funny guy and I'm the straight man.
So, uh, the message of the story is, sometimes you don't need books. You need rivalry. You need others to play off.
And you have an audience. You can be the one who says the jokes louder and get a bigger laugh.
Even dark humour that's a type of humour sucks most of the time.
I'm quite serious and reserved too but I have my comedic moments.
At the end of the day, people have opinions but I am slowly learning to not let them effect me.
