With cars not parked as close to the intersection, there’s a wider field of view when nearing an intersection making it easier to see people trying to cross the street.

Minimum once a month there's a crash at the end of my block because parked cars block your ability to see if there's a car coming. Nevertheless, my neighborhood is up in arms over this, as is their way when anything changes or there's the slightest chance they'll be inconvenienced.

Did the city attempt to get ahead of this with press releases or other media? There is most certainly compelling data locally and beyond on daylighting benefits. Why don’t more cities put effort into controlling the narrative when the backlash is so predictable?
