The only people who can do anything of consequence are Republican senators but time and again they have shown to be a bunch of cowards who are more than willing to sign their own death warrants if it means not having to face a primary.

The only people that can do anything of consequence are the American people.
Republican senators didn't put him there on their own. American people did.
Republican senators control the senior chamber of the legislature and have therefore myriad powers at hand to rein in the president's worst impulses - yet at every every occasion they choose to write him a blank cheque instead. My point remains correct.
The people did not elect Trump to violate the constitution and break the law. When Republican legislators, who constitute the majority and therefore have the power to act as a check on the executive, refuse to do their jobs, it's a gross dereliction of duty.
Trump told voters his plans.
Maybe not the exact methods, but certainly his plans. He made no secret of his wish to be a dictator, nor of his desire to seek retribution against those he perceived as having wronged him. He's followed the publicly available Project 25.
Voters aren't off the hook.
Of course not but there's 0 mandate to break the law and practice criminality yet Republican legislators let him do it. They could stop most of it if they so desired. But they obviously don't.
Also, Republicans in Congress refused to do their jobs of keeping Trump in check for the entire duration of his first admin, & supported his blatantly obvious lies throughout Biden's.
If you're saying that the voters that put him back in the WH have now been caught unawares, you're naïve at best.
Where the fuck did I wrote that? Silly strawmanning will get you blocked. Don't put words in my mouth. Americans are a bunch of dumbfucks for electing that sack of shit. Does not detract one iota from the traitorousness of the GOP legislators who refuse to do their fucking jobs.

Even if some of them find some spine it maybe too late to close Pandora's Box.

Nobody can feign surprise now.
