the only people that want you to watch new releases at home do not have your best interests or happiness or community in mind. they are interested in you purchasing and consuming content. movies aren’t that, don’t let them be. the joy you feel being with others is real, and important.

I sat behind someone just flat out recording GODZILLA MINUS ONE. Holding their phone nice and high to get a good angle. They were, at least, filming it horizontally, so they weren't totally uncivilised, but even so.
