I grew up in Germany, and I remember when I was little, my mom said “that’s a boy jacket“ because the zipper is on the other side. So I think it’s a fashion choice to make women‘s fashion zipped one side and men‘s the other. I believe, buttons, too. I am Cis but have always liked boys‘ things.
